Global business is a huge challenge, even in your native language. COVID-19 has presented us with an unprecedented and unpredictable situation that means we are trying to do all the business deals we did before but without the warm and tactile relationships that are built and maintained through face to face meetings, lunches, dinners, golf, corporate days, etc.

This has caused some chaos in navigating our way through the pandemic. Without the warmth in a relationship, WhatsApp, video conferences, telephone calls, and emails, can seem cold and unfeeling. When problems arise, situations can easily be misunderstood creating unnecessary confusion.

Whether you work in sales – trying to reach out to customers who my not want face to face meetings during this time; operations – submitting tenders or presentations online rather than in a comfortable office; or working in production, finance or human resources just trying to manage the welfare and workload of your teams working from home, there will be unwelcome and unexpected challenges on a daily basis.
